Spent some time shopping at the farmers market on Airline just south of the 610 loop yesterday. The prices are a little less expensive than Krogers or Randalls and these are supposedly mostly organic too.

Did you buy any of the cactii leaves?
we bought a bunch of apple bananas, white onions, cantaloupes, 2 boxes of mangoes. they got good stuff.
Do they carry local produce from Texas? I went there a few years ago, and I don’t remember seeing any local farmers….things can change!

Most of the veggies appears to be trucked in from afar. But there are a few Mexican families bringing homegrown goods to the table. Check it out.

I’ve seen them grilled and made into sauces…
