Houston Its Worth It Book Party

  • Why: In August 2006, Houston. It’s Worth It. teamed up with the Houston Center for Photography (HCP) to create “Houston. It’s Worth It. – Show Us Why,” an open-call exhibition in which Houstonians were asked to submit personal photographs relating to life in Houston. Over 600 images were received and every one of them hung exhibition. The exhibition was a rousing success, with HCP breaking all attendance records over the brief run of the show. HIWI was so thrilled by the range of perspectives and idiosyncratic viewpoints in the show, book was the obvious next step. For more information on the book, please visit houstonitsworthit.com.
